Pain and Proven Natural Medicine
Are you suffering from the pain of fibromyalgia, or osteoarthritis or do you have pain that is unexplained? Maybe you have had surgery or an accident and the result is chronic agony.
A lot of people tell us that it is something that we just have to learn to live with.
Don’t listen to them…
Pain is a response to a particular stimuli and if it is unexplained then you need to find out what is causing it.
Easier said than done…huh?
Pain is described as suffering or distress of the body from injury, disease or the mind.
There are two classes of pain:
NOCICEPTIVE and NEUROPATHIC PAIN
Nociceptive pain is pain caused by damage to tissues from such things as trauma and injury.
Neuropathic pain is caused by abnormalities to nervous tissue.
Whether your pain is from osteoarthritis or surgery or trauma, you would have at one time or another used pain killers (analgesics).
Did you know that analgesics are the biggest selling over the counter (OTC) drug. Fortunately there are alternatives to pain killers in the form of natural medicine, it’s just knowing which pain killers have been proven to help pain and which ones are a waste of money.
But why not use OTC pain killers, I hear you ask…?
Here are a few reasons why you shouldn't use them for extended periods:
• Codeine can cause a dependence.
• Codeine can cause adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting and constipation.
• Tramadol can cause respiratory problems, nausea, dizziness and sweating.
• Aspirin can cause gastric ulceration, tinnitus and vertigo.
So with those few examples, wouldn’t you want to investigate some less harmful alternatives for the relief of your pain?
I know what you’re thinking….but do they give relief like paracetamol or prescription medicines?
