PerimenopauseLatest Clinical Trials
Perimenopause and Premenopause don't favour clinical research trials as it is not considered a true clinical disorder but more of a cycle condition. Oestrogen dominance for example, is a true problem for many women and should not be treated lightly.
But there has been studies done on the natural medicines that I have mentioned and the symptoms such as fatigue and loss of libido.
Note: Just because there has been no studies done on a subject doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
SAMe
SAMe has been proven to be as effective as tricyclic antidepressants in cases of depression.
SAMe appears to contribute to the synthesis of hormones but the actual mechanism of antidepressant action is still unknown.
It is thought that SAMe contributes to an increase in seretonin levels.
If you are 'ANTI' antidepressant, then this is the natural medicine for you.

Bio-Identical Progesterone Cream
In one study, bio-identical progesterone cream was studied for the treatment of perimenopause. It was noted that the progesterone cream did display anti-oestrogenic and anti-androgenic properties which ultimately aided the symptoms of depression, fatigue, cramping and excess facial hair.

Vitex-Agnus Castus
Although no studies have been done on peri-menopause, there have been positive results for the symptoms of breast tenderness, swelling, cramps and food cravings.
Vitex has more positive results in treating
PMS.

In Summary
As seen above, there has been little study done on the topic of Peri-menopause and Pre-menopause.
Don't despair, this collection of symptoms does exist and you are not alone in thinking that it is not normal.
If you have the symptoms of pre-menopause then do visit your health practitioner and have some tests, specifically a salivary hormone test.
Many women have overcome this condition, you just need to look 'out of the box' of conventional medicine.
You won't look back.
